Acupuncture

Your First Consultation

Will take around 60 minutes, your initial consultation will include a through lifestyle analysis as well as discussion of your health concerns and goals.

We take the time to fully asses your current state of health before prescribing treatment, which may mean asking questions that might not appear to apply to your condition. We might also take a look at your tongue and check your pulse to gauge initial indications on the energy flow or Qi in the body.

A treatment will follow in this initial consultation and afterwards Danielle will spend time preparing some lifestyle and dietary advice and the course of treatments suitable to achieving your optimum health.

Follow Up Treatments

Given the holistic approach of TCM no two treatments are ever the same, however most Acupuncture treatments insert anywhere between 4 – 15 needles and may last between 45 – 60 minutes depending on your health care needs.

After inserting needles to the area relating to the Meridian channels being worked on, Danielle may leave you to rest in a softly lit room filled with the sounds of ambient music for around 15-20 minutes to allow time for healing to occur.

The effect of Acupuncture, TCM massage, dietary advice and lifestyle changes are cumulative, you may see and feel a difference after one treatment or it may take up 5 treatments before significant changes can occur in the body.
